Frequently Asked Questions
(also known as the anxiety reducing page)
How do I book?
I don't do phone calls. I do however respond as quickly as I can to text messages, insta DMs, Facebook messages and emails. Pick your poison (details for all here)
Do I have to have a consultation?
I carry out a lot of my consultations through messages. I’ll need pictures of your current hair (in good lighting- get someone else to take these from the back). Pictures of what you're after. The more of these the better. I need to know your hair colour history. All of it. If it was dyed one time 8 years ago. If you did a wash in colour in lockdown but all traces have faded. It's important that I know what we are working with because it can affect the outcome, and I'm a girl who likes to deliver.
Do I need a skin test?
Yes if you're having colour on your scalp. If you absolutely can't get to me I can post one out for you at the cost of £5.
Where do I find you?
I will give you full directions to find me at the time of booking.
Do I have to buy products from you?
I promise, I wont ever be pushy with product sales. Feel free to ask questions, and I will always be super honest about what I think would be best. I will always recommend using the best quality shampoo and conditioner you can afford, you’ve invested in your colour, and these will keep it looking its best for longer.
Can I bring my own drinks and snacks?
Absolutely. If you're in for a big appointment- I’d recommend it. I have coffee, teas, squash, water and biscuits readily available if you come to mine.
Can I bring my child/a friend?
Adults are always welcome as are babies. I am limited on space however and it can get a little crowded. With children however, unless they are having their hair done at the same appointment, I find they can get very bored and fidgety, and can make the appointment less enjoyable for you.
What should I wear?
No hoods. Nothing you care too much about. Preferably something dark.
Do I have to have photos taken?
Being able to photograph my work is great for my marketing. It's possibly how you found me in the first place. Most pictures I take are from the back. If I take any side views I’ll show you first before posting. I appreciate that not everyone loves being videoed or having there face in shot, but I will always ask first.
Should I wash my hair before my appointment?
Clean hair colours better. It doesn't have to be freshly washed that day, but it is a terrible myth that needs to die that you should have your hair coloured when it’s dirty. It also should be free of product built up too.
