Frequently Asked Questions
(also known as the anxiety reducing page)
How do I book?
Wrong page babes, this is where you need to be reading!
Do I have to have a consultation?
In a word- no.
A lot of client choose to pop in for a consultation to familiarise themselves with how to find me, check we are a good fit, and for any strand or patch tests that are required. I may ask you to come in if we are doing a big change.
You can now get yourself a skin test kit here to do at home at least 48 hours before your appointment
(and a cheeky little tip for you- they can also double up as an eyebrow tint kit so pick your shade wisely!)
Do I need a skin test?
Yes if you're having colour on your scalp or a toner.
Where do I find you?
The studio is at 1B Newtown Road, Liphook, GU30 7DT, above Apple Cabs. The front door is next to Liphook Valet and has a ring doorbell for entry. There is a free car park a short distance along Station Road by the doctor's surgery.
Do I have to buy products from you?
I promise, I wont ever be pushy with product sales. Feel free to ask questions, and I will always be super honest about what I think would be best. I will always recommend using the best quality shampoo and conditioner you can afford, you’ve invested in your colour, and these will keep it looking its best for longer.
I have a selection of products for sale- Only Curls, ColorWow, Heavymetal Hairdresser, Innoluxe and Glowwa to name a few.
Can I bring my own drinks and snacks?
Absolutely. If you're in for a big appointment- I’d recommend it.
I have a vast range of coffees, teas, cans, water, biscuits and chocolates for you to help yourself.
I am also not opposed to an ubereats delivery turning up!
Can I bring my child/a friend?
Adult chaperones are always welcome as are babies.
I am limited on space however and it can get a little crowded.
With children- unless they are having their hair done at the same appointment, I find they can get very bored and fidgety, and can make the appointment less enjoyable for you. You know your child best.
They are entirely your responsibility though!
What should I wear?
No hoods. Nothing you care too much about. Preferably something dark.
Do I have to have photos or videos taken?
Being able to photograph my work or film consultations is great for my marketing. It's possibly how you found me in the first place. Most pictures I take are from the back. If I take any side views I’ll show you first before posting. I appreciate that not everyone loves being videoed or having there face in shot, but I will always ask first.
Should I wash my hair before my appointment?
Clean hair colours better. It doesn't have to be freshly washed that day, but it is a terrible myth that needs to die that you should have your hair coloured when it’s dirty. It also should be free of product built up too.
